St. Jago high school star athlete Crystal Morrison is missing. The 17-year old hurdler was last seen sometime after 2:00 yesterday afternoon.

The young athlete’s disappearance has left her immediate and high school family in shock.

Crystal’s sister, Shauna-Kay Morrison spoke with Nationwide News.

Ms. Morrison says she last heard from her sibling yesterday afternoon when she indicated she was leaving school to purchase a pair of shoes.

Crystal, a grade 11 student at the St. Catherine based high school received her Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate, CSEC, results recently.

A distraught Shauna-Kay says she’s not certain if her sister might have believed the family would’ve been upset with her because of her performance in the examinations.

Meanwhile, the Principal of St. Jago, Collette Pryce told Nationwide that Crystal’s phone has been going straight to voicemail and all messages on Whatsapp have not been read.

She says so far there’ve been no leads in locating her.

She says the young hurdler has excelled academically and in athletics.

The 17-year-old is the Carifta record holder in the Under-17 100 metres hurdles and a champion in the same event at the ISSA Boys and Girls Championships.
