The bus driver who was caught on camera making an illegal turn on a pedestrian crosssing on Constant Spring Road in St. Andrew yesterday morning has been fined for careless driving.
The driver, Elkanah Sparks, was brought before the courts today where he pleaded guilty to the offence.
He was fined $5000.
Sparks was also fined $10,000 for a bench warrant in a separate matter.
The police continue to encourage the public to report careless and reckless driving to the Constabulary’s Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch’s tip line at 8-7-6-5-9-1-5-6-7-1.
