Veteran basketball analyst, Stephen A. Smith, says the LA Lakers have zero chance of winning an NBA title anytime soon.

Smith says the Lakers face mounting challenges to their title hopes as younger teams in the Western Conference continue to improve.

The Lakers’ title hopes are further diminished, Smith says, by their roster of aging stars.

The Lakers last won an NBA title in the 2019/20 Covid-affected season.

Meanwhile, Smith says it will be difficult for the New York Knicks to repeat as NBA champions. There have been eight NBA champions in the past eight seasons.

He says adding a player of the calibre of the Lakers’ Lebron James, who in the past has been heavily linked with the east-coast team, may disrupt the Knicks’ cohesion.
