A suspect is now in custody in connection with the attempted theft of millions of dollars in fibre optic cables belonging to one of the country’s telecommunications companies.
Commander of the Red Hills Police Station, Detective Inspector Collin Burgher, says residents alerted the police about the incident sometime after 4am on Wednesday.
He’s urging citizens to continue collaborating with the police in reporting suspicious activities in order to keep the communities safe.
