Jamaica Tallawahs captain Rovman Powell says despite the massive failure of opener Chadwick Walton in the Caribbean Premier T20 League, they are still willing to persist with him and hope he finds his best form.

Walton has made only 14 runs from seven games so far this season, including 10 runs in one game, but Powell says he is worth the risks.

There have also been suggestions that star player Andre Russell be made to bat higher up the order to give the team a better chance especially when chasing, but Powell hints that he will remain at number six.

Powell will again lead his side into battle against St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots at the Brian Lara Academy tomorrow morning starting  at 9.

Meanwhile the Trinbago Knight Riders extended the competition’s only 100 percent win record to 8 games after pulling off a 59 run victory over the Patriots today.

Lendle Simmons 98 and Darren Bravo 36 put on 130 for the third wicket as TKR posted 174 for 4

The Patriots in reply were restricted to 115 for 7 with Chris Lynch getting 34.

The defeat means the Patriots cannot qualify for the semifinals.
