A 16-year-old boy and a Correctional Officer were shot and killed at a playing field in Capture Land, Highgate, St Mary on Sunday.
The deceased are Nathan Segree, also known as ‘Pazzy’, a student of Guy’s Hill High School and 24-year-old Giovani Higgins otherwise called ‘Marcus’, both from the Highgate area.
Reports are that about 6:30pm last evening, Nathan and Higgins were among a group of men playing football, when a Toyota Axio motorcar pulled up.
Armed men alighted from the vehicle and attacked Nathan and Higgins, shooting them several times.
The gunmen fled in the waiting motorcar.
The other people escaped unhurt.
