The Ministry of Education says some 120,000 students have not been engaged with any learning modality over the last year due to COVID19.
That’s according to Minister of Education, Fayval Williams.
The Minister gave the update during a Post Cabinet press briefing this morning.
She says attempts have been made by the Ministry to contact and engage the students over the past year.
However, due to increases in the number of COVID19 cases and other restrictions these attempts were partially curtailed.
Minister Williams says attempts will once again be made to engage these students once face-to-face classes resume.
