Highly placed sources have told Nationwide Sports that a leading Jamaican athlete could miss the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary this summer because of a whereabouts violation.
It’s alleged that the athlete, who is yet to open their season in 2023, missed three out of competition tests, which is punishable by suspension.
According to our sources, the athlete in question is yet to be contacted by the Athletics Integrity Unit.
Meanwhile, there’s also news that a top American female sprinter also missed three out of competition tests.
Under the World Anti-Doping Agency whereabouts rule athletes must make themselves available to drug testers for one hour each day between 6am and 11pm, 90 days in advance for out of competition testing.
