The Trinidad and Tobago police has launched an anti-violence campaign in schools, following an increase in fighting, vaping and disorderly behaviour among students.
The Express is reporting that 272 offences were recorded in the last academic year.
The campaign, called Flip The Script, was launched on Wednesday.
According to the Express, Deputy Commissioner of Police Junior Benjamin says the components of the strategy tool kit will include music, anti-bullying and mentorship.
A cadre of thoroughly vetted police personnel is to be assigned as big brothers, particularly for boys considered to be at risk.
