Health officials in the United Kingdom have identified a new strain of the coronavirus, which scientists say spreads more rapidly.
UK Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, advised the British Parliament that the new strain of the coronavirus has been identified in sections of England.

In the meantime, President of the Medical Association of Jamaica, MAJ, Dr Andrew Manning, says despite the new development, Jamaicans should continue to practice strict adherence to the anti COVID-19 protocols.
He says adherence to the protocols will become even more critical during the festive season.

Meanwhile, Senior Advisor and Strategist in the Tourism Ministry, Delano Seiveright, says the Tourism sector isn’t concerned about the new strain of COVID-19 in the UK at this point in time.
