Member of Parliament for Portland Eastern Ann Marie Vaz has pledged to donate retroactive sums from her Parliamentary salary to get the victims of yesterday’s fire at the Musgrave Market in Port Antonio back on their feet.
The fire reportedly started shortly after 8 yesterday morning at the rear of the Musgrave Market and quickly spread to adjoining business establishments.
Several stalls belonging to craft vendors were destroyed.

The fire also spread to the adjoining building, Kamal’s Supermarket & Cambio, destroying a variety of goods, cold storage equipment, cash machines, and an undetermined sum of cash.
