The Westmoreland police have seized two rifles, a quantity of ammunition, and two ballistic vests from a community in Grange Hill in Westmoreland.

The weapons were discovered in an abandoned wooden structure located in a heavily vegetated area on Monday.

Head of the Westmoreland Police, Superintendent Othneil Dobson says the weapons are believed to belong to the Kingsland gang.

One of the rifles is a Colt AR-15. It was accompanied by two M16 magazines containing forty-nine 5.56 rounds of ammunition.

Superintendent Dobson says the find is expected to cripple the gang’s activities.
