The woman who allegedly shot and killed a man at the Constant Spring Arcade in Halfway Tree in September has been charged with murder.

She is 43-year-old Carlene Spencer, a businesswoman and licensed firearm holder from Kingston 10.

She was charged following a ruling from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Spencer is accused of killing 48-year-old Barrington Walton, also known as Spike.

Walton was a well-known figure in the Halfway Tree area.

Reports are that Walton and another man were arguing, when Spencer intervened.

During the argument, she allegedly pulled out her licensed firearm and shot him in the head.

Her court date will be announced later.
