The Caribbean remains a favourite holiday destination, despite the decision by several countries to issue travel advisories to their nationals, in light of the growing Zika epidemic in the Americas.

Professor Moore says regional governments and tourist boards must intensify their efforts to provide more information to potential visitors about the Zika situation in the Caribbean.

He says the message must be reinforced that the region has a very low Zika infection rate.
