Police Commissioner, Major General Antony Anderson, says almost 5-hundred members of the Constabulary have been trained in first response to deal with those who may be infected with the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.

Commissioner Anderson says the Constabulary’s normal sick policy has been adjusted for police who have to self-isolate if they fear they’ve been exposed to the novel coronavirus.

He says the Constabulary will support members who’re in isolation.

He was addressing members of the Constabulary via social media this afternoon.

He says those in isolation should also contact the Health Ministry’s tip line.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Anderson says the Police High Command is committed to replenishing supplies including sanitizers, disinfectants and gloves where they are running low.

The commissioner is reminding members of the Constabulary to be careful to maintain proper hygiene.
