Detectives in St. James are probing the death of seven-year-old Aden Rose, whose body was found at his home in Bickersteth, Cambridge in St. James yesterday.
Young Aden was reportedly found face down in bushes, with a chop wound to the back of his head.
The body was found in a state of decomposition.
Nationwide sources say a pool of blood was also found on a bed inside the boy’s house.
The child’s mother has been taken into custody in relation to the gruesome find.
It’s understood she’s been charged with child neglect.
Reports are Aden’s body was found by residents at about 6:45 a.m. yesterday at the back of his home.
They raised an alarm and the police were summoned.
The discovery has reportedly left members of the community outraged.
The body of the young boy was removed to the morgue pending a post mortem examination.
Aden was a grade one student at the Bickersteth Primary School in the parish.
The Cambridge Police are investigating.
