Jamaica yesterday confirmed eight (8) more cases of COVID-19, of which only 3 are imported.

The update was provided by Health Minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton.

Dr. Tufton says the country’s recovery rate remains at just over 83 per cent.

And, that 46 persons have been repatriated to their country of origin.

Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jaqueline Bisasor McKenzie, says Jamaica continues to record a very low number of local transmission cases.

The Chief Medical Officer says this confirms Jamaica’s pandemic measures have been working.
