Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett, says there’s a possibility that by the end of this year, about 85 percent of tourism workers will be back on the job if the sector continues to gradually rebound.
Minister Bartlett was speaking on Nationwide this morning with Danielle Archer and Abka Fitz-Henley.
The Tourism Minister also noted that Jamaica’s resilient corridors have shown lesser positive cases of Covid-19 than other areas.
In the meantime, Minister Bartlett says meetings have been held between himself and Saudi Arabian Tourism Minister, Ahmed Al Khateeb, in rebuilding the nation’s tourism sector.
He says a Memorandum of Understanding is expected to be signed between the Ministers for major investment opportunities.
