Jamaica continues to record a declining Covid-19 positivity rate which currently stands at 7 percent.

That’s according to the Health Ministry’s latest update.

In the update, 397 samples were tested. Of that number, 32 confirmed positive cases were recorded.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 48, 983.

The number of active cases now stands at 21,209.

Meanwhile, one more Covid-19 death has been recorded.

The deceased is a 57-year-old female from St. James

This brings the total number of Covid-19 deaths in the island to 971.

In the meantime, recoveries in the latest update stands at 129.

This brings the number of recoveries to 26,424.

136 people have been hospitalised, 37 are moderately ill and 7 are critical.
