Haiti’s National Police is providing little answers about a gang attack in which 47 people were killed and more than 50 kidnapped.
The attack occurred late on Sunday in a once-peaceful farming community nestled in the hills near Port-au-Prince.
One gang leader has threatened to execute all the hostages if any gang members are killed as police work to secure the community.
At a press conference on Thursday, a police spokesman took only a handful of questions from journalists.
According to Associated Press, the spokesman said he could not answer publicly when asked about plans for those kidnapped.
The head of the police force was not present at the news conference.
