Information Minister, Senator Dr. Dana Morris-Dixon says recent comments from Prime Minister, Dr. Andrew Holness, were also intended to be a message to his Cabinet and government.

At last week’s special media briefing, Dr. Holness expressed frustration at the slow pace of some government programmes and processes.

Speaking at Wednesday’s post-cabinet media briefing, Minister Morris-Dixon says the Prime Minister has been asking for repeated updates on the progress of a number of launched programmes.

The Prime Minister also announced that changes would be personnel changes across the civil service amid what he described as moves by some to sabotage government programmes.

When asked by Nationwide News if any such instance of sabotage had taken place in her ministry, Minister Morris Dixon admits that some mistakes had been made in its response to Hurricane Melissa.

She says the ministry has made adjustments to improve that response.
