Air traffic controllers are set to resume normal duties Saturday evening.
The agreement to return to work was reached during an emergency conciliatory meeting at the Ministry of Labour’s head office at North Street in Kingston.

The Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority had written to the Ministry early Saturday morning to advise that the majority of Air Traffic Controllers had called in sick Friday night.
In a release issued late Friday night, the Authority said it had implemented contingency measures to allow for the continued delivery of air traffic services within Jamaica’s airspace.
It said however that it had to temporarily suspend service between Friday night and Saturday morning and that three flights were affected.
