Founder and CEO of the Amber Group, Dushyant Savadia, says he aims to establish at least one coding institute in every parish in Jamaica in the years to come.
Nearly 30 students graduated from the Amber HEART/NSTA Coding Institute with a certificate in coding, all having already secured employment at Digicel, the National Commercial Bank and at Amber.
Savadia says another 500 are to enrol later this year.
He says there’s need for greater technological advancement in Jamaica.

He says the programme including accommodation and food, is totally free of cost to the students.
Mr Savadia says trainers from India and South Africa, are training Jamaicans to administer the courses.
