Former President of Private Sector Organisation and Jamaica Exporters Association, Beverly Lopez has died.
Mrs. Lopez passed away at her home yesterday morning.
She, was a graduate of the prestigious Alpha Academy and recipient of Order of Jamaica in 2006 for her contribution to the private sector sector.
President of the Peopls’ National Dr. Peter Phillips says he’s saddened by news of her passing.
Dr Phillips said Ms Lopez was an outstanding Jamaican, a well-respected and honoured business woman and the champion of major social initiatives.
He said her leadership of the Private Sector body demonstrated her love for her country and she must be lauded for her instrumental role in the Social Partnership for Agreement.
Dr Phillips said sector leaders like Ms Lopez worked tirelessly to build trust between the public and private sectors and in so doing contributed much to nation building.
