The National Environment and Planning Agency, NEPA, is advising the public to beware of crocodiles roaming Hellshire, St. Catherine.

Manager of Public Education and Corporate Communication at NEPA,  Olivia Anderson, confirmed reports of swimmers encountering a crocodile last Thursday.

Ms. Anderson says NEPA is still conducting its investigations and as such the agency is encouraging persons who have to traverse the area to exercise caution.

NEPA says the public shouldn’t be alarmed as crocodiles are known to use the sea in that area regularly.
