The Planning Institute of Jamaica, PIOJ, is projecting that the economy grew by 0.3% between July and September.

The actual numbers will be presented by STATIN at a later date.

PIOJ Director General, Dr. Wayne Henry, says the higher employment numbers played a role in the country’s growth.

However, Dr. Henry says agriculture, mining and tourism declined.

The PIOJ boss says several delays in major projects also impacted the construction industry.
