The National Blood Transfusion Service, better known as the Blood Bank, says it will reopen its doors at Slipe Road in Kingston today.

This follows its temporary closure yesterday to facilitate infrastructural upgrades to improve service delivery to the public.

The announcement was made in a public notice issued by the Blood Bank late yesterday evening.

During yesterday’s closure, donors in Kingston were encouraged to go to the donor centre at the University Hospital of the West Indies, UHWI, between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm.

However, the Blood Bank says its Slipe Road offices will re-open today.
