The Bog Walk Gorge in St. Catherine has been closed to vehicular traffic as the police have cordoned off the area to process a crime scene.

It’s understood that a man was shot in the gorge during a confrontation with the police.

The man was allegedly part of a group of gunmen that had allegedly committed a murder sometime before in Riversdale in the parish.

The Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM, is probing the incident.
