Leader of Opposition Business in the Senate, Peter Bunting, says the lack of annual reports coming to the Parliament from State Agencies is an embarrassment.

Mr. Bunting listed more than 10 state bodies which have not submitted reports going back as far as 2014.

The Opposition Senator was speaking on Friday in the Upper House which is suffering from technical challenges with its audio-visual equipment.

He notes that the FLA which criminalizes late filings by Jamaican citizens is more than four years overdue in its documentation.

Mr. Bunting also singled out the National Works Agency, NWA, which filed its last report nearly 8 years ago.

He notes that this agency will soon take on an ambitious 40 billion-dollar road improvement project on behalf of the government.
