Fans of Leon Bailey have been urged to temper their expectations following reports that Olympiacos have reached a verbal agreement with Aston Villa for the surprise signing of the Jamaican winger.
The reported transfer is understood to be a permanent move away from Villa Park, with Bailey set to sign a contract with the Greek giants to run until June 2029.
Bailey who spent a part of last season on loan with Italian side A.S Roma, still has a year to run on his current deal with the Villians.
Reports emerging from Greece indicate that the winger is now on his way to Athens to undergo a medical ahead of the proposed transfer.
However, Craig Butler, who is part of Bailey’s management team, has moved to caution supporters against treating the transfer as a done deal.

Bailey has scored 23 goals and provided 25 assists for Aston Villa from 163 appearances in all competitions since joining in 2021.
