President of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, Lloyd Distant, is indicating that the government needs to give sectors outside of tourism more attention.
Members of the government have previously stressed that Jamaica’s economic recovery from COVID-19 depends largely on the recovery of tourism.
However, Mr. Distant says there are other areas that are more important.
He adds that local economic activity needs a boost.
The JCC President says the productive sector in particular, needs support.
