A woman was stabbed and chopped to death at the weekend after a dispute with her common-law husband escalated in the community of Clarke’s Town, Trelawny.
Dead is 31-year-old Nickeisha Keeling of the same community.
Reports from the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit, CCU, are that about 11:30pm on Saturday, Keeling and her common-law husband were having a dispute when he inflicted several stab wounds to her body.
The common-law-husband then proceeded to inflict multiple chop wounds to Keeling’s upper body.
Keeling was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The common-law husband subsequently turned himself in to the police yesterday morning.
His identity has been withheld pending investigations.
