Co-Chair of the Constitutional Reform Committee, Marlene Malahoo Forte, says a comprehensive public education campaign will be launched to include Jamaicans in the reform process.

Mrs. Malahoo Forte, the Minister of Legal and Constitutional Affairs, says the successful engagement of the public is among the reform goals.

The 14-members of the Constitutional Reform Committee, tasked with guiding Jamaica’s transition into a republic, was announced by Prime Minister, Andrew Holness on Wednesday.

Minister Malahoo Forte says it’s essential that ordinary Jamaicans are not just bystanders in the reform process.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Plenipotentiary, Lieutenant General Rocky Meade, explains his role as Co-Chair of the Committee.

General Meade says the Committee will be meeting weekly to pursue an aggressive schedule.
