Students are being urged to stop running alongside buses operated by the state owned Jamaica Urban Transit Company, JUTC, in the downtown Kingston layby.

The Transport Ministry and the JUTC say the alarming trend poses a serious risk to students.
The students are often seen running alongside the buses, as they jostle for position to get onboard early and secure a seat.
The practice has also caught the attention of parents and school administrators.
Corporate Communications Manager at the JUTC, Cecil Thoms says they’ve been observing the trend from last December.
He says the practice has continued.
Mr. Thoms says the police have been engaged to help stop the practice.
