A man has been charged for the 2021 murder of June Stone of Portmore, St Catherine.
He’s 26-year-old construction worker Marcus Mitchell, from George Reid, Manchester.
Mitchell has also been charged for possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition.
Reports are that about 6:40 in the evening of November 17, Stone was at home when Mitchell entered the house and opened gunfire, hitting her in the head.
The police came and took the woman to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Mitchell was arrested in January of this year, following an intensive investigation.
He was charged following a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney.
