The Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, JCC, says it isn’t surprised that several businesses are closing due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their earnings.
JCC President, Lloyd Distant, says cash flow for a number of businesses has been drastically reduced.
Mr. Distant says small businesses have been hit hardest by the prevailing pandemic.
He adds that manufacturers have been forced to adjust how they operate.
The JCC President says he doesn’t expect the situation to worsen at this time.
