The COVID-19 Pandemic has cost the country some 400 million dollars per day in lost tourism revenue.
That’s according to Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett.
The Minister was speaking last evening while making his contribution to the Sectoral Debate in the House of Representatives.
The pandemic has seen international travel come to a near standstill.
Minister Bartlett says under these circumstances the importance of reopening the nation’s borders is paramount.
However, the Minister says the reopening will be managed to ensure no undue risk to Jamaicans.
