Jamaica recorded 121 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
That’s according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ latest update.
In the update, a positivity rate of 17.7% was reported.
Over 142-thousand cases have been recorded since the onset of the pandemic in the country.
The newest cases come from 7-hundred and 27 samples tested.
57 of the new cases are from Kingston and St. Andrew.
Four new COVID-19 fatalities were recorded.
More than 3-thousand Jamaicans have died of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
There were 1-hundred and 11 recoveries in the update.
One hundred and 12 people are hospitalised with COVID.
30 are moderately ill, 11 are severely ill and 6 are critical.
84-per cent of those hospitalised are unvaccinated.
