The Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF, says a curfew has been imposed in sections of Gregory Park in St. Catherine.
The JCF says the curfew began at 6:00 last evening and will remain in effect until 6PM on Thursday, August 4.
The measure comes after heightened Police presence in the area following sporadic gunfire in the area on Monday.
Two houses were also set ablaze in the community.
The boundaries of the curfew include sections of Dyke Road, the Portmore Villa Boulevard and the intersection of the Municipal Boulevard.
The JCF says during the hours of the curfew, all persons within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorized in writing by the ground commander.
