Public Service Minister, Horace Dalley, has written the Police Federation inviting the union back to the negotiating table in the latest bid by the Government to end the industrial action being taken by rank and file members of the Constabulary Force.

Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Assan Thompson says approximately 1-thousand Police personnel called in sick today.

National Security Minister, Peter Bunting gave an update to Parliament this afternoon.

This morning, Minister Bunting and Police Commissioner, Carl Williams, appealed to the Police Federation to discontinue the industrial action.

But the protest continued into this afternoon. Minister Bunting says the Court system was affected.
