Attorney Isat Buchanan is this afternoon expressing disappointment in the ruling handed down by the Supreme Court in relation to a then 5-year-old student of Kensington Primary in St Catherine.

The student who’s now 7 years old, was allegedly barred from classes by the school because she wore dread locks.

He says the court’s expressed that the child’s constitutional rights were not breached.

Isat Buchanan, Attorney.

The attorney says the child’s family was shocked and devastated by the judgement issued by Justice Bertram Linton in agreement with Justices Evan Brown and Nicole Simmonds.

The court’s written judgment is yet to be released.
