Prominent medical doctor, Paul Robinson, has been re-arrested and charged with gang related offences.

Dr. Robinson, who was out on bail for a previous charge of misprision of felony, was taken into custody on Monday evening.

He is charged for his alleged involvement with the notorious Klansman gang.

On Dr. Robinson’s last court appearance in May in the St. Catherine Parish Court, his bail was extended until July 26.

The allegations are that Dr. Robinson treated two members of the gang, who are now incarcerated, for gunshot wounds.

It’s alleged that Dr. Robinson also provided the gangsters with prescriptions in 2020.

The 65-year-old medical practitioner was first arrested by the police in April at his office on Young Street in Spanish Town.

He was subsequently released on station bail in the sum of 1-hundred-thousand dollars.

Twenty-three members of the Klansman gang have been arrested and charged under the anti-gang legislation and other serious offences.

These include murder, conspiracy to murder, robbery, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.

The reputed leader of the gang, Tesha Miller, is also among those charged.

The men will next appear in the Supreme Court on July 11 for a case management hearing.
