The Ministry of Education is admitting it made an error when communicating information regarding the structure of the Grade 4 assessment which began today.
But, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr. Grace McLean, says the issue was quickly resolved.
Dr. McLean was speaking during Wednesday’s sitting of Parliament’s Public Administration and Appropriations Committee, PAAC.
She was addressing concerns raised by parents last week complaining about alleged last minute changes to the Grade 4 component of the Primary Exit Profile.
However, Dr. McLean says the multiple choice segment being introduced should not create an issue for the students.
But, Dr. McLean says there are areas in which the Ministry needs to improve.
