The Ministry of Education and Youth is encouraging parents and students to register for this year’s National Summer School Programme.

The Summer School Programme is scheduled to commence on July 4 and run through to July 28, 2022.

The programme is one of the initiatives being undertaken under the National School Learning and Intervention Plan to address the learning gaps caused by the disruptions in learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

National Literacy Coordinator, Dr. Andre Hill, says the summer school programme is open to all students, with a special focus on students identified as needing targeted intervention.
Dr. Hall says the programme will cover several subject areas.

The programme will run four days per week.
Dr. Hill says interested teachers should check the recently disseminated education bulletin for details on how to register.
