The Education Ministry has dispatched a grief counseling team to Epsom Primary School in St Mary, following the death of a grade four student.
The student was swept away by water after heavy rainfall yesterday.
The child, nine year old Kimora Whyte, was reportedly trying to cross a gully.
Port Maria’s Mayor, Richard Creary, says the parish is saddened by the unfortunate incident.
He says little Kimora’s body was found today on the beach near the Epsom cross roads.
