Director of Public Prosecutions, DPP, Paula Llewellyn says the Financial Investigations Division, FID, has indicated it wants to use its own attorneys to prosecute the corruption case involving fired Education Minister, Ruel Reid.

Reid, his wife Sharen, his daughter Sharelle, Caribbean Maritime University, CMU President, Professor Fritz Pinnock and JLP Councillor for the Brown’s Town Division, Kim Brown Lawrence, were all slapped with corruption related charges on Wednesday.

Ms Llewelyn says Chief Technical Director at the FID, Robin Sykes had indicated to her that the entity would apply for a fiat.

The DPP says a formal application is yet to be made.
