US sprinter Gabby Thomas is the latest star confirmed for the Racers Grand Prix at the National Stadium in Kingston on Saturday June 3.

Thomas made her Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Games in 2021. She won the individual bronze medal behind Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson-Herah and Namibian Christine Mboma. Thomas pipped Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce to third place.

Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson, who was tipped to medal in the event missed out on the finals.

Thomas also won 100m relay silver behind the Jamaicans at the event.

Although Thomas competes for the United States she has Jamaican roots. In August 2021, Thomas wrote on Twitter that she still has family living in St. Catherine.

Thomas now Joins a star studded lineup that will feature the likes of Jackson, Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist and 2022 World Champion over 200m, Noah Lyles, and world record holders Wayde Van Niekerk and Tobi Amusan for the big meet in Jamaica’s capital.
