Chairman of the Jamaica Labour Party, Robert Montague, says the government is not ready to call a general election.

Mr. Montague, argues there’s still some election preparations to be completed.

Mr. Montague was speaking with Cliff Hughes this morning.

While an election is not constitutionally due until 2021, some political commentators are suggesting an election could be called next year.

However, the JLP Chairman says the party still has some fine tuning of its election machinery to complete.
