The Group CEO of Grace Kennedy Don Wehby, says the company has established a corporate panel to study the possibility of going into the Cuban market, in light of the recent developments in that country’s relationship with the United States.

Speaking to journalists in Manhattan as part of the company’s annual series of town hall meetings in North America, Mr. Wehby says the matter of Cuba came up at a recent board meeting.

But he stressed that no decision has yet been made and that any future move would depend on the findings of the panel.

Cuba has a population of about 12-million and an economy of almost $US70-billion.
