Police in Clarendon are probing the gruesome murder of a 21-year-old woman whose body was found in the parish on Sunday.

She’s been identified as Dominique Pearnel from Chapelton in the parish. Its understood that Pearnel had left home on Saturday evening to attend a party in Hayes with two of her friends.

When she went missing at the party, the friends reported the matter to the Police. Residents found her body around 2pm the following day in an open lot.

Its understood the perpetrators sexually assaulted her, and threw caustic soda on the body. Caustic soda is a chemical that behaves similar to acid.

It’s main ingredient is used in toilet cleaners, and when mixed with water, it dissolves body tissues. A friend of the family spoke with our news centre this morning.
